Green County Cheese Days
Held the third week in September in even number years, Green County Cheese Days has been a tradition since 1914. Featuring live music, parade, history, Taste of Monroe, arts and crafts merchandise and more this event is eagerly anticipated by all.

Green County Fair
The fair is held each year in July and includes a rodeo on Wednesday, a tractor pull on Thursday, concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings, 4-H and FFA auctions on Saturday, harness racing, demolition derby and cheese auctions on Saturday and on-going throughout the fair, agriculture displays to include antique tractors, farm animals and many food and vendors throughout the fair. Come enjoy a great time out YOUR Green County Fair.

Monroe Balloon Rally
Celebrating its 27th year in 2012, the Monroe Balloon Rally is held the third weekend in June.

Don’t miss the 27th Annual Monroe Balloon Rally! Join us as we look to the skies and gaze at nearly 20 hot air balloons as they drift over beautiful Green County! The hot-air balloons will take flight from the fairgrounds on Friday, June 15 at 6:00 p.m. and again on Saturday, June 16 at 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. All flights are weather permitting and originate at the Green County fairgrounds. Also join us for the gorgeous balloon glows on Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm.
