MEET JANE THOMAN

Meet Jane Thoman, Board of Director for Your Monroe Chamber of Commerce

Richard and Jane both grew up in Monroe. Jane went to UW LaCrosse for two years and did basic studies and furthered her education at Blackhawk Technical College where she earned her dental assisting degree. Jane worked over 20 years as a dental/orthodontist assistant. She also wentto Maranatha for Biblical Studies.

In 1998 she and Richard started their own management company and managed the Super 8. In 2005, Richard and Jane bought the AmericInn, which they own and manage. Later that year they obtained some ownership in Super 8 also.

Richard and Jane have five children. Daniel is serving in Afghanistan as a military police officer. Joseph is finishing his schooling at Blachawk Technical College in the criminal justice department. Andrew just started at UW Oshkosh. Timmy is in 6th grade, and Becky is in 4th grade.

Besides being active in her church, Jane's business is hospitality. "I enjoy promoting Monroe to guests coming to visit. Monroe has so much to offer. The Chamber Board is more then just promoting Monroe, but that's part of the Board. I enjoy being out there serving Monroe, promoting Monroe and just being part of Monroe. Richard and I feel there is no better place to live, work and raise a family", stated Jane.
