MEET DAVE GOMBOSI
Dave Gombosi married his high school sweetheart, Tina and they have 2 wonderful children, Kim a junior at UW-Whitewater and Chase is a sophomore at Monroe High School. Dave gives much of his business success to watching his father put so much into
his career and for the great support he has from his wife and children.
He and his wife Tina run their company together and Dave
truly knows that the team effort is what makes them
successful.
Dave began with Radio Shack when he was a freshman in high school. He started as a stock-person and continued up the ladder. In 1991, he became Assistant Store
Manager and then in '92 was promoted to the Midwest Outlet Director. In 1995, he became the youngest Regional Manager of the company. He held positions with Radio Shack as the Buyer for A/V product, Human Resources Director, and Real
Estate Operations Director. In June of 2005, he and his wife Tina, bought Radio
Shack/U.S. Cellular in Monroe and added GES, Inc. (Gombosi Electronic Solutions),
their TV audio/video distribution company. In 2009 their Monroe Radio Shack was
ranked as the 9th largest Radio Shack in the United States. Dave has spent 22 years with Radio Shack and is committed to the company and our community.
When asked why they are successful Dave stated he is committed to the best service, best selection and best price. He proudly states that they carry over 20,000 different products and support every one. They have outgrown their current location
and will move into their 5,000 sq. ft. Super Shack in March of 2010. His goal is to make our Monroe Radio Shack one of the top five Radio Shacks in the country with
their new Radio Shack/U.S. Cellular location at 301 6th Avenue West, Suite 129 on
the Westside of Monroe. Additionally, he and his wife Tina want to have the best
U.S. Cellular dealership in the State of Wisconsin.
Dave is excited at what 2010 holds for our community and your Chamber. "Your board is committed to working with you to build a stronger business economy and we
want to hear from you, our friends and fellow business peers." Dave encourages
everyone to "Buy Local, Buy Green County, Buy Wisconsin."
